About eComGuider

eComGuider is an independent eCommerce platform guide built for founders, merchants, and small business owners who want honest answers before committing to a platform.

We open real accounts on every platform we review. We build test stores, walk through actual setup, and calculate what you pay at $1K, $5K, and $25K in monthly revenue, apps, transaction fees, and payment processing included, not just the plan price.

When a platform is the wrong fit for your situation, we say so. When a cheaper option beats a more popular one, we say that too.

Our Mission

Most eCommerce platform review sites look helpful. Go one layer deeper and the pattern becomes clear: the platform with the highest affiliate payout ranks first, regardless of whether it is the right fit for your business.

eComGuider exists to fix that.

Our mission is to give every store owner the kind of platform guidance that puts their business needs ahead of our earnings. We tell you when the platform paying us a higher commission is not the right choice for your situation. And we show you the math to prove it.

Why We Started eComGuider

Shaddam Hossain, founder of eComGuider, spent 12 years building eCommerce products professionally: Shopify themes on the Envato marketplace, WooCommerce solutions, WordPress plugins, and growth strategy for stores generating real revenue.

After a decade inside these platforms, a pattern became unavoidable. The information most store owners rely on to choose a platform comes from sites with a financial incentive to push specific recommendations.

Commission structures quietly shape rankings. Real limitations go unmentioned. Cost comparisons use the plan price only, ignoring required apps, transaction fees, and payment processing costs that can double what you actually pay.

eComGuider was built to give store owners the kind of honest, experience-based guidance that the people actually building on these platforms already know.

What Makes eComGuider Different

We test with real accounts. Every platform we review starts with a real account: free plan, trial, or paid. We build test stores, go through actual setup workflows, and document what we find. Screenshots come from inside the platform, not from marketing materials.

We calculate real costs. We do not just list plan prices. Every cost comparison includes what you actually pay: the base plan, the apps a typical store needs, payment processing fees at real revenue figures, and transaction fees where they apply. That is the only way to compare platforms honestly.

We cover real limitations. Every review includes specific, documented weaknesses. Not vague cons like “can be expensive.” Actual limitations with real examples, including who should not use each platform and why.

We use named authors with verifiable experience. Every article on eComGuider is written by a named contributor and reviewed by a second expert. You know who produced the content and what qualifies them to write it. Meet Shaddam Hossain and Rantideb Howlader.

We disclose affiliate relationships. eComGuider earns commissions when you sign up through our links. Every article with affiliate links says so, upfront. For the full breakdown of how we earn and how it affects our content, read our Affiliate Disclosure.

How We Review Platforms

Our review process follows the same steps for every platform:

  1. Create a real account (free plan, trial, or paid depending on the platform)
  2. Build a working test store from scratch
  3. Test the features that matter most: checkout, payments, shipping, app ecosystem, and SEO settings
  4. Calculate the true annual cost at $1K, $5K, and $25K monthly revenue
  5. Document real limitations with specific examples
  6. Research official platform documentation and community feedback
  7. Publish with a Last Tested date and update when pricing or features change

Our Editorial Principles

Every article on eComGuider is written by a named author, reviewed by a second expert, based on hands-on testing, and fact-checked against official sources before it goes live. We update content when platforms change their pricing or core features.

We do not publish on a platform we have not tested. We do not accept sponsored content. We do not let affiliate commission rates influence our rankings or recommendations. For how we handle affiliate earnings, see the Affiliate Disclosure.

For the full details of how content is produced, reviewed, and updated, read the Editorial Guidelines.

Our Promise

We recommend the platform that fits your business, not the one that pays us the most.

If a platform is wrong for your situation, we say so. If a cheaper option would serve you better than a premium one, we say that too. Our job is to help you make the right call, not the most profitable one for us.
